Special care for special pets
Dr. Brian Rollmann and the team at the practice since 1986.
A small-animal practice at 2590 Highway 32 in Port Washington, where the person who answers the phone and the person who examines your dog are on the same page.
Dr. Brian Rollmann assumed ownership of the practice in September of 2012. He is a Port Washington High School graduate and received his DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, so the clinic he runs is in the town he grew up in.
On their welcome page the team puts it plainly: each of our patients is considered a special member of the family, yours and ours. The staff are described the same way, as thoughtful, warm hearted, and compassionate, and that is the order of business at the counter, in the exam room and on the phone.
Dr. Rollmann and the other doctors regularly attend continuing education seminars, and belong to local, state, national, and international veterinary education associations and organizations. When a case needs more than a general practice can offer, they consult with board certified specialists at the University of Wisconsin veterinary school, and refer for advanced care when it is needed. You can read how that works for each kind of visit on the services page.

At the counter and in the exam room
The people you will meet.
Four names from the team, in the order a visit meets them: the voice on the phone, the technicians who weigh and settle your pet, and the hands that assist.
- AmyVeterinary technician
- Her technician career began in 1984, two years before this practice opened its doors.
- SarahVeterinary technician assistant
- With the clinic since 2009, with wildlife rehabilitation experience as well.
- EmilyVeterinary technology graduate
- Earned her Associate degree in Veterinary Technology at Madison College in 2017.
- LisaReceptionist
- The voice on the phone when you call (262) 284-0400, and the first face at the oak counter.
Surgery days add one more job to that list. Certified veterinary technicians are responsible for monitoring each pet before, during, and after anaesthesia, with blood profiles run first and anaesthesiologist-recommended protocols in place.

“I've had Dr. Rollmann and the Little Animal Hospital care for our dogs for years. Always goes above and beyond, and not just for me-I've talked to many with the same experience.”
